Biomass Energy Technology Development
The Biomass Energy Resource Center (BERC) is working to bring advanced technology to the market so that efficient, low-impact, cost-effective biomass projects can be built. BERC can help technology developers find demonstration sites, assess markets for their products, and set up demonstration and testing programs.
Gasifier Commercialization
BERC works with developers of biomass gasification technology (from 50 KWe to 10 MWe) to help commercialize and site market-ready equipment.
Biomass Fuel Issues
BERC is working to develop new approaches to the biomass fuel market: biomass supply, processing, transport, and storage.
Methane System Commercialization
For effective on-farm energy production systems, BERC helps to integrate manure digesters for biogas production, for electricity generators, and for utility interface.
