Biomass Energy Applications
The Biomass Energy Resource Center (BERC) specializes in bringing together advanced technology and appropriate sites for biomass energy utilization. BERC's working knowledge of a wide range of application areas enables us to:
- Develop projects for different types of applications
- Analyze project potential sites
- Assemble a team of stakeholders
- Assist the owners or stakeholders in decision making
- Structure projects for successful implementation
BERC is currently working in the following application areas:
School Wood Heating
Automated wood-chip heating systems for public schools.
Central Wood Heating
Central heating and power plants for communities and campuses.
Farm Methane
Manure digesters that produce biogas for power production.
Industrial Combined Heat and Power
On-site biomass energy production to offset expensive power and fossil fuel.
